Day 7

AP exam grading:

common errors- combustion analysis and limiting reactant fiasco...clearly they didn't do enough of them...summer assignment grade will reflect that.
nobody can convert km^3 to cm^3
no such thing as silver I
incomplete rutherford explanation
some even had a problem with %comp to emp. formula.
general carelessness in not reading questions and not answering what was asked for.


D: did I2 sublime demo, showed decomp of sugar via H2SO4; did exo and endo demos with amm nitrate and Ba hydrox in a 1:2 ratio...and then did lab... Bunsen burner stuff only for 5 minutes...give some time tomorrow...

G: got up to chromatography
E: got through chromatography; do energy with D and E tomorrow (plus demos).

AP: did redox balancing and tips....disproportionation and comproportionation....
juuuust started molarity.....
tomorrow, finish grading tests....talk to AH about switching...
then do solution stoichiometry...grav. analysis and then a mixture problem...
